miosolo reviews
The nappy gurus at fill your pants have been putting the miosolo to the test... see what they think below:
1. How did the miosolo perform?
We received the miosolo and after a quick prewash we were excited to
test them out. The inner felt lovely and soft and they seemed well made.
Tim is quite a petite 17 month old who is not a particularly heavy
wetter, though we do usually use fitted bamboo which work fantastically
for us.
We tried the nappy on with it fully unpoppered and seemed to get a
good fit, the velcro tabs meant the waist was the perfect fit and there
was no obvious gaping around the legs. We are used to being able to get
at least 4 hours out of a nappy so were curious to see how well it would
last, but after 4 hours there was no sign of any leaks, the outer was
dry and Tims bottom was dry, and though the insert was wet it was not
fully saturated.
We changed into another miosolo and it was not a fluke,
the second one also lasted a good 4 hours with no sign of any leaks or
discomfort for Tim.

2. How did the miosolo perform when out and about?
After 4 ½ hrs in the first nappy, which was dripping but not leaking,
the 2nd nappy was changed in a baby change room, I have a big dislike
for these rooms so always want to change and get out as quick as
possible, even with a baby who doesn’t like being changed from the side
this nappy was on and we were out of the changing facilities in record
time. The nappy was easy to adjust on a wriggler.
My son who doesn’t like being wet never complained about the first nappy which would never have happened in a 2 part nappy. (Louise rated the miosolo 5/5)

3. How did the miosolo perform overnight?
I was extremely reticent to try the miosolo overnight as we find that
pockets just don’t provide enough absorbency and normally use a fitted
nappy with a separate wrap. So, we got ready for bed, I placed the
mioboost on top of the stay dry layer (it looks like the mioboost is too
wide to fit in the nappy). I was so convinced this would not work; I
had a sheet, night clothes and clean sleeping bag at the ready.
When
my little one woke for a night feed, I was convinced he would be wet
but no he was dry and I was very pleasantly surprised to find he was
totally dry in the morning! I was utterly amazed but very pleased at
the same time! (Hannah rated the miosolo 4/5)

4. How did your partner, parents or babysitter cope with the miosolo?
Dad
used it no problems. Comments included - Nice and soft, pretty easy to
stuff although bit of a fiddle to get the insert to lay flat. The
straps and insert pocket bit on the actual insert made it more confusing
(although possibly because he is used to stuffing EFs).

5. How did the miosolo wash and dry?
The miosolo was really easy to wash as the insert unfolded itself in the washing machine. The laundry tabs are the best I’ve come across so far as they are really big so you can’t miss them, but soft so they don’t rub on baby’s skin.
I was really pleased with the drying time, it took about the same time to dry as a Smartipants pocket nappy, and much faster than the Easyfits I normally use. I found it a bit more tricky to stuff than my usual nappies because the insert is a little bulkier and I found it fiddly to get it to lie flat inside the pocket.
